WHY PEOPLE CHOOSE JOHNSON CITY
After a family spent their first day here recently, the husband burst into song, laughing,

Than here in - Johnson City.”
Camelot it’s not, but it is a very special place.
Pace of life – Everything is so convenient here that it is easy to relax and enjoy life, if you have the will power to say “no” to some of the fun and useful things to do here. Here are some of the things you may choose instead of the hectic life you come here to get away from:

Music – quality in every kind – jazz, country, Johnson City Symphony, music programs at local colleges and schools
Storytelling – 15 minutes from International Storytelling Center in Jonesborough.
History – we’re in the middle of it – many historic sites
Festivals – local and nearby, for everything you can think of to celebrate
Crafts, quilting, writing – whatever you like, people here are enjoying it
Gray Fossil Site – Elephants, rhinos, pandas, tapirs, saber tooth cats, in abundance (Late Miocene-early Pliocene) – Museum and education facility coming soon. Help dig.
