SHERWOOD FOREST - JOHNSON CITY TN
If you are thinking of this as a place you might like to live, may I tell you why people enjoy living in Sherwood Forest. They enjoy its winding tree-shaded streets and walking or driving past lovely home and well-maintained yards. It's an especially convenient location for medical professionals or administrators, or people who need easy access to health care facilities: close to Johnson City Medical Center, Franklin Woods Community Hospital, and Niswanger Children's Hospital, Quillen College of Medicine, School of Pharmacy, VA Hospital and a wide variety of specialty medical practices.
Sherwood Forest is also close to many restaurants and shopping areas, including still-growing Hamilton Place, over 250,000 square feet of retail space just off State of Franklin opposite the post office.
Young children in Sherwood Forest go to Towne Acres Elementary School, one of the schools people ask for most frequently, then to Indian Ridge and Science Hill High School.
There's not much real estate activity in Sherwood Forest - people who have discovered the neighborhood are apt to stay a long time.
There's a serendipity involving someone in Sherwood Forest in my collection of serendipities, some of the chance meetings that lead to discovering unexpected friends or interests in common. Follow a lot of the links below to learn more about the wider area, things to do, and a lot of real estate information. There are also many useful links that have nothing to do with real estate - just a convenient way to keep all the sites you need at your fingertips. (Please tell me what else should be added and I'll be glad to do it.)
Please bookmark www.SherwoodForest-JohnsonCity-TN.com. I would appreciate the community's help making it more useful. This page is a neighborhood service. Please help me make it "ours" instead of "mine." (I don't live in Sherwood Forest, but it is a favorite neighborhood and thought this would be a useful way of thanking you for letting me help sell your homes and find you new neighbors.)
